The Real All Americans

In development. The Real All Americans will explore the real life drama of the early 20th century founding and operation of the Carlisle Indian School whose unofficial motto was “Kill The Indian, Save the Man”. Remarkably, this all Native American school football team, led by Olympiad Jim Thorpe, went head to head with bastions of white power and privilege including Yale, Harvard and West Point and won. Based on the book by acclaimed Wall Street Journal columnist Sally Jenkins and to be penned by screenwriter Angelo Pizzo (“Hoosiers”, “Rudy”), the film will be produced by Ray Halbritter and executive produced by Andrew Herwitz.
