The Great Happiness Space: Tale Of An Osaka Love Thief

This engrossing film won the award for Best Documentary Feature at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. It explores the fascinating world of male geishas in Japan: who they are, who the women are that spend thousands and thousands of dollars to be with them to be entertained and how they each feel about the other. It is a layered, fascinating film.
