MOOZ-LUM

Starring Nia Long (Big Momma’s House), Evan Ross (“90210”) and Danny Glover, this powerful story illuminates potent and still timely issues of race and religion in American society through the experience of Tariq who struggles with his African American Muslim upbringing as he begins college. After deciding to “pass” as a non-Muslim, his resolve and identity are put the test as the 9/11 attacks  bring the campus anti-Islamic sentiment to fever pitch and complicates an already difficult internal struggle.  Winner of the Best Narrative Feature at its Urban World premiere, this film has a tremendous emotional appeal and topical urgency.
