High Score

This film, which won the Emerging Vision Audience Award at the South by Southwest Film Festival, looks at the world of video games, particularly aficionados of vintage “retro” 1980’s video games. It follows Portland, Oregon gamer Bill Carlton, one of the most brazen of these old school game jockeys, as he attempts to take down the high score on the classic Cold War-inspired game Missile Command.  In order to get the 80 million points he needs, however, he’ll have to play the game on one quarter for over two straight nights with no sleep or bathroom breaks.
