Guest of Cindy Sherman

Cindy Sherman is an internationally recognized figure who is legendarily private. This film made by her boyfriend follows their life together, with unprecedented access, and explores what happens when she falls in love with a man who is just not very successful. Themes of sexual power, what it means to be a famous or powerful woman and values in the contemporary art world are all explored. Right before its sold out premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival, Cindy Sherman issued a press release disavowing all association with Guest of Cindy Sherman, which has only led to increased interest in the film.
