Donkey in Lahore
Meet Brian, an awkward outcast with a penchant for goth and puppetry who spent part of his upbringing in a Christian cult. On a chance trip to Pakistan, he falls for Amber, a 17 year old from a traditional Muslim family. After his conversion to Islam and a 3 year long distance courtship, Amber’s family finally approves the marriage, only to realize that she may have made a terrible mistake. Nevertheless, Amber’s family pressures her to go through with the wedding and to fly to Australia to live with Brian. Miserable and scared, Amber complies. Cut to one year later. Has Amber succumbed to her despair or is she able to make the most of her seemingly impossible situation? The answer may shock you.
