Aida's Secrets

Israel/Canada - Documentary - 90 minutes

A powerful personal story from filmmakers Shaul and Alon Schwarz (“Narco Cultura”) about their uncle’s search for the family from which he was separated at age 3. Drawing on in-depth research, archival material, interviews and verité, the film explores the little known world of post war Germany where surprisingly the former Bergen Belzen Nazi Headquarters was transformed to a desirable Mecca for displaced persons where new identities were acquired and past lives all but buried in the surreal bohemain environemnt.  Aida's Secrets is extraordinarily moving full of emotional twist, turns and revelations.

Director: Alon Schwarz

Producer: Shaul Schwarz
